Pioneering The Industry Since 1980

  • 1980

    ISF was established as a joint venture company between Lam Soon Group and Walter Rau Neuss Ol Und Fett Ag., Germany with the main aim to produce Cocoa Butter Equivalent(CBE) products.

  • 1984

    Commissioned first refinery and Solvent Fractionation plant in Port Klang.

  • 1985

    ISF was the First Malaysian Company to Produce Cocoa Butter Equivalent(CBE) for the export market.

  • 1987

    Received a National Award for Product Excellence from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry(MITI) for the POP fats.

  • 1996

    Commissioned 2nd refinery in Dengkil, Selangor near the KLIA.

    1997

    ISF started a Palm Kernel Fractionation plant to produce consistent quality Palm Kernel Stearin for Cocoa Butter Substitute (CBS).

  • 2005

    80% of ISF shares were acquired by The Nisshin OilliO Group, Ltd., Japan.

  • 2010

    Produced palm oil and its fractions with Low 3MCPD esters to fulfil buyer’s requirements.

    Started operation of new functional Oil and fats plant in Port Klang.

  • 2012

    Remaining shares acquired by The Nisshin OilliO Group Ltd., resulting in 100% ownership of ISF.

    Established a new Headquarter building in Port Klang.

  • 2013

    Nisshin Global Research Center was established under The Nisshin OilliO Group at ISF Headquarter building to enhance technologies and customer-oriented product development.

  • 2016

    Established a new Research and Development (R&D) Center in Port Klang to enhance application technologies and product development.

  • 2017

    Established ISF Shanghai as sales and distribution office in Shanghai, China.

  • 2018

    ISF acquired a 75% share of ATICI Srl, which is a refining plant in Genova, Italy. The company name changed to ISF Italy.

  • 2020

    ISF published its first sustainability report.
