ISF Completes Pilot Solar Panel Project at its Dengkil OperationsMalaysia’s geographical location and ample amounts of sunlight make us a promising nation for large-scale solar energy generation, a valuable renewable energy source that has the potential to face all challenges in the world. With recent increasing energy costs, having solar energy from a green energy company is a good alternative energy source for our homes, in both small and big ways.
We have completed a solar panel project at our Dengkil operations to utilize greener electricity consumption, where these panels will harness energy from sunlight to produce 1,0355,924 kWh per year. This means reducing our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 921,972 kg CO2 equivalent, accounting for 3.5% of our emissions. The energy generated from the solar panels will be consumed during peak hours at our operations.
We aim to extend the solar panel project to our Port Klang operations should the current project yield positive results.
