Refinery Process Insights: Proforest's Learning Visit to ISF

Collaboration with our partners is at the heart of our values at ISF. On the 27th of July 2023, we proudly hosted the "Refinery Process Insights: Proforest's Learning Visit to ISF," demonstrating our unwavering commitment to work hand-in-hand with industry experts to achieve sustainable development in the palm oil sector.
Proforest, a renowned consultant company in the palm oil industry, embarked on a knowledge-sharing journey with ISF. The delegates were led by Mr. Surin Suksuwan, Director of Proforest Southeast Asia, and included 19 participants from a diverse range of departments and organizations from Malaysia and overseas. This diversity of perspectives and experiences enriched the discussions and helped to ensure that the event was truly a global learning opportunity.
Advancing Sustainability Through Collaboration:
The primary objective of this collaboration was to foster a deeper understanding of palm oil refining process. The event began with a refining process training from ISF's management following with the plant tour of our state-of-the-art refinery plant in Dengkil, where they witnessed firsthand the intricate process of palm oil refining. The tour has been emphasized the importance of responsible sourcing, food safety and the integration of sustainable practices into our daily operations.

Sharing Knowledge for a Sustainable Future:
Visitors savoured a delightful chocolate and bakery tasting session, while quiz winners were honoured with delectable confectionery gifts from Mr. Maki, the ISF R&D GM

The afternoon session focus in the diverse application of our premium-quality specialty oils and fats for different confectionery products. Proforest's delegates were immersed in an educational tasting experience, sampling chocolates and bakery products made from palm oil fats and oil.
As summary, the learning event was a valuable and enriching experience that brought together a diverse group of individuals in pursuit of palm oil refining and its application knowledge.
