Transformation Through Action: ISF Publishes 2020 Sustainability ReportISF has published its Sustainability Report for the calendar year 2020, themed ‘Transformation Through Action’, and covers our continued progress towards becoming a leading producer of sustainable specialty oils and fats.
This year’s report’s cover illustrates ISF’s core values and depicts the interconnections in the palm oil value chain. It symbolizes our commitment to working with the government and industry stakeholders, consumers, suppliers, implementation partners, and our people towards the common goal of making sustainable palm oil the norm.
“I am pleased to announce our new sustainability vision: To be a world leader in high-quality specialty oils and fats by integrating innovative solutions and creating value for a sustainable future.” ISF’s CEO Takashi Ishigami emphasised, “This new direction echoes our parent company’s commitment to human, social, and economic development, and guides ISF’s continuing quest to improve our sustainability footprint.”
2020 has been a challenging year marred by the unprecedented pandemic that has affected many livelihoods and businesses. However, we managed to overcome this predicament together with resilience, collaboration, and effective communication with everyone involved in our supply chain. ISF takes this opportunity to express our sincerest gratitude to our stakeholders and trusts this continuing collaboration will transform our business to its sustainable best.
Among the sustainability highlights in our supply chain for the year 2020 include:
- 100% traceability to mill to all of our direct sources in Malaysia
- 75.6% traceability to plantation for our crude palm oil sourcing
- All of our 52 direct suppliers are MSPO certified
- Launched a pilot solar panel project at our Dengkil plant
