ISF Joins as Founding Member of New MSPO Impact Alliance
KUALA LUMPUR, 19 SEPTEMBER 2025 — Intercontinental Specialty Fats Sdn Bhd (ISF) is proud to announce its role as a founding member of the newly launched MSPO Impact Alliance, a multi-stakeholder platform designed to strengthen Malaysia's leadership in sustainable palm oil. The MSPO Impact Alliance is backed by 27 founding members including global FMCG companies, plantation growers, smallholder representatives, industry associations, civil societies, financial institutions, certification bodies and international organisations.

The official launch event, held at Hilton Kuala Lumpur, was attended by ISF's Chief Marketing Officer, Ms. Khoo Yoke Lian, who represented the company and received a founding-member plaque alongside fellow partners. The Alliance aims to ensure the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) certification remains aligned with international standards and will act as a testbed for innovative solutions. This includes piloting practical solutions such as advanced traceability, sustainable financing, and inclusive supply chain mechanisms.
"ISF Malaysia is pleased to be a founding member of the MSPO Impact Alliance," said Ms. Khoo Yoke Lian. "Our role as a downstream refinery in this supply chain is to try to include the independent growers, producers (sellers), and consumers (buyers) on board the sustainability platform."
"We encourage collective participation and, through this effort, promote sustainable, responsible, and traceable production from the whole supply chain for Malaysian palm oil," she added.
The event was attended by representatives from ISF’s Sustainability & Communication, Commercial, and Marketing departments, led by CMO Ms. Khoo Yoke Lian (fourth from left).
ISF is ready to contribute its expertise to help connect growers, producers, and buyers to advance responsible and traceable sourcing across the Malaysian palm oil supply chain. By working together through the Alliance, ISF believes meaningful progress can be driven to build a more sustainable and responsible industry for all.
